For strokes, outlines and fill colours etc. It would be a massive time saver to have saved brand colours or palettes for default colours

Make sure it's in the same attire at the images attached.

Sometimes I need to stop or pause an upload because it was either a mistaken file, or I am using a bad internet connection and need to pause it to make my system useable, but I can't just close Descript because I still want to work on an existing composition.

I have a 4 person podcast that is about 1 hr long that I edit. one of the guests types and clicks while on the call and this audio comes into his track. when I used premier, I could select a segment of video, and mute a single source for that scene with 1 click. In descript I have to move between the sequence and teh composition. If I'm going to remove this clicking from the program, I'm goign to have to do a whole additional pass in the sequence editor to clean up the audio BEFORE i get to the composition huge waste of time for something that's 1 clikc in standard video tools.

Hi Descript team, I am having a problem editing subtitles in Descript. When I try to shorten or remove a word from the text track (for example, “problem” or “tightness”), the corresponding audio portion is automatically removed. My goal would simply be to adjust the duration of the display or the positioning of the word so that it appears at the right time, without changing or muting the sound. Is there a way to temporarily turn off the link between text and audio, or to lock the audio track to only edit subtitles? Thank you so much for your help, Delphine

“exactly” is missing from the words to be removed

User must be able to edit the Subtitles to ensure the correct text is displayed on screen. For example, the Speaker says " jurydemocracy.us " but the subtitle shows "Jury Democracy .US" which is not correct. The User must be able to click on the Subtitle line in the Composition & edit the displayed text. Another example is when two lines are split due to timing, but where the lines are short enough that they "can" be displayed on screen together, but are automatically separated by Descript. The user must be able to edit the text for the given time frame to read as necessary. We currently have a line that reads "You? Or a Career Politician?" which gets shown as two separate segments when we need them shown together (2 lines of text shown as "Your? Or a Career Politician?"). I can "fix" this by changing the "?" to a comma, but that is a hacky fix and doesn't retain the question mark - even so, the comma vs. question mark shouldn't make a difference here... just hitting enter to make a new line for each segment should do it. The user must be able to edit the Subtitles in the Composition to make this fix.

Why is it so difficult to duplicate a layer. Cmd-C and Cmd-V does not do the trick. Please establish a command to duplicate content in the timeline.
