I have already a srt file of a video, that is much better then the decript transcribe. How can I upload that file with the video? It says it does not support that file extention.

If you edit out "uh" you are often left with a comma. "but, uh, why?" -> "but, why?" If you cut the end of a sentence, you often lose the full stop. "I want an edit, please." -> I want an edit" Generally, once the edit is done, I'd like to press a button and fix all the punctuation errors. "Repunctuate" or similar.

Doing audiobooks, I have what the text should be for my projects. What would be an incredible feature would be to provide what the transcript for a chapter should be to Descript and have it show me where the two differ so I can fix/re-record. I suspect this would also help improve transcription accuracy if you can pass the text to your transcriber so it "knows" what to look for.

I’ve been a dedicated user of Descript and appreciate the seamless audio editing experience it offers, especially the automatic microfades at edit boundaries to prevent audio pops. However, I’d love to have the option to adjust the default length and behavior of these microfades before processing audio. Currently, the automatic microfades are applied at a fixed length, which can occasionally result in cuts that sound a bit abrupt in certain contexts. Allowing users to customize the default microfade duration or to add a fade type (e.g., linear or exponential) would enable even smoother transitions, especially when working with conversational podcasts or delicate audio edits. This added control would enhance flexibility and allow for more efficient editing workflows without the need for manual adjustments on every edit. I believe this feature would be incredibly valuable to many audio editors who rely on Descript for professional-quality production. When editing for hours, reading the transcript text on screen, my eyes do tire out. I tried enlarging the text, but all I can do is make the audio timeline larger. Please add the ability to make the text of the transcripts as large as we would like it to be.

Ability to perform J/L cuts by offsetting audio and video on the script.

Is AI supposed to learn from its mistakes? There are still a lot of punctuation errors, commas, and periods where there shouldn't be any. Words are spelled out of context. Exp: "Rays" of light are spelled "raise" of light. "Altar" instead of "alter." I find these type of errors frequently.

The AI feature to generate title and chapters is great. Can the AI feature to suggest the hashtags for Youtube be also added?

For ex. breathing and laughter should be tagged as such, and not be treated like gaps. You'd also be able to search tags to find all instances of applause for example.
