Each new project should retain the settings from the last used project so I don't have to repeat the same sequence of actions every single time I apply an effect or AI tool. For example, I have to Change layout pack in each new project; I have to set Studio Sound intensity to 30% every time I use it; I have to adjust Lower other audio to 30% instead of 10%. The odd thing is Descript does this with some features like Shorten word gaps but not with others like using Ignore instead of Delete for Filler words. It really would help make the app more consistent.

Apply your own LUTs to visuals in Descript.

We use action buttons at the end of videos to give users next step options (vimeo does this). It would be great to add clickable action buttons/links/cards/animation/etc that can be added anywhere within the video and then also especially at the end of a video which are still active on last frame of video when video ends.

Bring log footage from popular cameras up to Rec 709 within Descript using built-in LUTs

Set skin tone based on an eye dropper to automatically adjust visuals for skin tone

Pick white point with an eye dropper to set white balance

Support gradients not just solid colors as a fill type

Much like you now change were the eyes are looking, could you sync the lip movement with past examples of that word being spoken?

Sometimes I don't like to remove filler words because it doesn't feel natural or it creates too many noticeable edit points. But I don't want this to appear in the captions either. Would love to see this as a possibility or I may stick to premiere pro just for the closed captions

We need face smoothing effects, much like we can do on Zoom with Touch Up My Appearance. It can be very light, but it is still nice to have. Zoom has the best one I've seen so far, so I would love seeing at least that.
