I have recurring audio and images that I include for every podcast episode I produce. It takes so much time to have to add this content to each new project. I've created templates so I don't have to recreate these elements BUT would be great to be able to pull from a global user or drive media library instead. Be able to add the multitrack elements as hot buttons where you can drag and drop these elements into a project easily.

I’ve been a loyal Descript customer for years, but since the new pricing structure was introduced, my monthly bill has skyrocketed from $30 to $195—despite no changes to my workflow. Frankly, this increase feels excessive. I can’t help but feel betrayed and taken advantage of. Over the years, I’ve recommended Descript to dozens of creators, but this new pricing model has left me no choice but to walk away. What once felt like an empowering tool for creators now feels like just another tech company exploiting its customers and showing them nothing but contempt. I’m genuinely disappointed and saddened by this experience.

First of all your regular push buttons in the UI do not have any visual feedback when clicked. Not very good from a UX perspective. This is especially a problem because when exporting, if the advanced section of the export dialog is expanded, when the export button is clicked at the bottom, the progress banner that indicates the export has started is actually completely hidden under the export dialog (at least on my 27" Mac Studio display). Because the export button actually does not show any visual confirmation that the button was actually clicked, it's easy to think that it wasn't clicked and click it multiple times which starts multiple exports. Then I have to go and cancel the extra ones. So please: Fix the button UI Ensure the export banner is visible under or next to the Export dialog

Not sure what happened but it misses so many repeated words. It was never perfect but it's worse than a month ago

Currently there are a number of issues with the transition clip transition UI that are friction points: When rolling over the transition handle, the tool tip that comes up is directly below the handle and actually makes it a little difficult to see and select the handle. It would be better if the tool tip were 5-10 pixels lower. When the transition dialog is brought up, the only way to dismiss it is to click either in the script or in the video preview. Clicking in the timeline does not dismiss it, which creates a lot of friction in the editing flow if I'm editing the timeline. It would be very useful to have a key equivalent to insert a transition at the cursor and an accompanying preference to set what the length of the video and audio transition is for that default. Final Cut Pro has this and it's extremely useful.

Please make AI credits budget visible when you're in a project, not having to go to Usage to see my credits. I know you start showing them when you're running out, but you should always show them so we have a better idea of what we're using. It's a new feature and I don't want to have to constantly be doing math to understand how many credits I'm using.

This bug showed up yesterday. Don't know how general it is. The last iImage in the timeine shows up correctly in the timeline playback, but renders as a graphic rectangle when exported as a video. When I delete the image from the timeine, the previous image (in timeline order) then exports as a gray rectangle. Here's the composition that displays the problem. I'd like to have this done automatically when using the Descript recorder instead of having to do a bunch of work arounds to separate them.

I am desperate for the ability to add multiple projects to a folder - and have a link to that folder to share with clients. I record a lot of tutorial videos and the fact that theres no home for the videos - so they just get lost in the abyss after being sent is a deal breaker for me. if descript doesnt add this feature soon ill be jumping ship.
