Most YouTubers use smooth (or called ease in/out) video zooming i.e. instead of zooming in at the same rate (which is very boring), it starts slow, accelerates, then slows down at the end --> making the zoom in much smoother.

Zoom and pan is very hard to select beginning and ending changes, is not smooth, and often has a jump when coming out. There should be an option to naturally zoom in and back out.

We added animation easing presets in v81. https://feedback.descript.com/changelog/release-version-81

100% Currently we rough cut in Descript and then use After Effects for the camera zoom ease in / ease out effect. If Descript zooms had ease in/out we could do most of our videos with one tool. These linear animations are not pretty.
