I would love to be able to record VoiceOver while having live playback of the video I'm voice recording over

Being able to give a live voiceover while the video is playing. 0 or 3 second wait time before recording starts, keyboard shortcut to start recording, delete the previous clip with backspace to allow users to retake easily until they nail the delivery.

Allow to see and control video (play and pause video) when in recording mode. This would make doing voice over much easier.

Sometimes I record off the cuff without a script. I want to be able to record a VO while watching the video.

I want to record while looking at the video in playback. Playback speed feature already in place, just need the ability to record while in playback mode. Thanks!

I need the option for video playback WHILE recording the voice over, so I can see what's happening and narrate accordingly.
I've been having to use Adobe to create these types of videos because this isn't a feature in Descript.
I'd love to be able to do ALL my video editing in one place.

Was quite surprised this is not already supported!
Advice from support was the following:
> You could record the audio while watching the video in a separate application on your computer so that things are lined up, and then combine them afterwards using a Sequence (https://help.descript.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042209832-Sequences)
Doable but not ideal as I have already edited the video a little (cuts etc.)
