Our voice clone model now uses ElevenLabs. So when you create a custom speaker in Descript, it uses ElevenLabs technology. Plus, with the launch of ElevenLabs v3, you can now prompt your voice clone with tone to sound even more natural.

Yes! Please allow it to articulate and pronounce common Middle Eastern and Islamic words such as “Alhamdulillah,” “InshaAllah,” “Allah,” and “Tawakkul.” These are widely used terms with significant meaning, and accurate pronunciation is essential—especially for content creators and users with an audience that appreciates or expects such linguistic authenticity.

Really appreciating the latest updates from the Descript Developer team.
I've been testing ElevenLabs’ AI voice tools and the quality is next-level—especially when it comes to emotional depth and tone variation. If you’re working with voice cloning for real people, their models are some of the most precise I’ve seen.
I would love to see a future integration that allows us to import custom ElevenLabs voices directly into Descript.
Saving those voices to our AI Speaker Library and accessing them like any other built-in voice would take the workflow to a whole new level.
Thanks for continuing to build with intention. Looking forward to what’s next.
