When stacking similar objects (Audio Waveforms for example) it gets confusing which layer is which. Some related user stories:
As an editor, in the layer panel user can select a layer and see it selected on the canvas and timeline.
As an editor, user can rename layers either in the layer panel, or at the top of the clip properties panel, updating name in the timeline.
As an editor, in the layer panel user can drag-and-drop layer titles among themselves to reorder them in the canvas and timeline.

All the rectangles in my presentation are called Rectangle. I would like to name each as Layers in Photoshop.. So I can identify them by their function.

Please allow the layers in the storyboard to be moved. For example, I put in a video but I couldn't move it below the fancy captions to be able to see the caption over the video.

keyboard shortcut for moving timeline layers backward or forward? Alternatively, enabling manual repositioning of these layers up and down with mouse would be helpful.
