Andrew Mason: Thank you Andrew. I've watched the video and applied to be on the Beta version. I'm somewhere in the queue after #7400...It will be worth the wait.

Make sure to read Podifornia's post below it was super helpful to explain the concept of this. Looking forward to seeing Templates but I think most people need to understand this first.
Project = Podcast or Show
Composition = Episode
Media Library = Stock audio for Project that can be added to each Composition or Episode.
I did not understand this. I think it should be the first thing taught with Descript. I think alot of people just dont get the product. Has amazing features. But you have to understand the product from the top level to the bottom.

what would be nice is yes this where you could have set assets load and/or have a folder with reusable media assets in so when you load new project you can just drag in things you need instead of reuploading thing and finding them and stuff.

Richard F Mazurowski: Yes - this was requested under a different heading - repeatedly used assets to avoid uploading the same intro music, header images, show logo etc. Doesn't appear to be under review unless it is part of the templates dev.

I also edit multiple podcasts and have this issue w/the audiogram feature. I have to 1) swap out the background image 2) change to/from dark mode 3) change the highlight color. Every time. It would be nice if I could make a template and just select it

Something to ponder with this request is branding. I create content for two podcasts and I also create training material for my company and clients that hire me. Having templates is super useful, but please keep in mind there could be a branding aspect to this. I do not know the right way to handle the situation, but if I add up the number of intros, outros, midrolls, and other elements I would use, there are maybe 40 files. For templates, there might be 20 of them (ish). I do not know how you plan on implementing this feature, but in my mind's eye, there is some sort of shared content folder that contains re-usable materials, plus re-usable templates, so it would be nice if there was an organizational element to this such as folders, tagging, or something to make it easy to find what you are looking for.

Bill Raymond: Canva and Lumen5 have brand guideline folders with palettes and other assets to apply to new content. V. useful.

Templates for Social Videos

My company creates couple podcasts a month, and having to create a new social video from scratch using the fancy captions, waveform, etc. options. While those are great, we have to create them all from scratch each time and is too time consuming to do each time. Not to mention the room for error in sizing/creating the same look each time.

I, too, would love to see a template options to create custom templates for social videos/audiograms.
I'd like a streamlined approach to creating these videos that maintain consistent elements (e.g., my logo, waveform). Duplicating a project is a work-around, but it doesn't always work well when creating a new transcript.
