I run in-person workshops with an audience in the room. Audience members who haven't consented to appear on camera end up in frame throughout the recording. I need to select one person once and have Descript track that selection across every frame they appear in, then apply an effect (blur/mask) to just that tracked region — the rest of the frame stays untouched. This is a single-camera, single-file video, so multicam track labeling doesn't apply; that assigns whole camera angles to speakers, not individual people within one continuous shot. Underlord confirmed this isn't currently possible. Right now I'm handling this manually by blurring or removing the frame with the individual, which doesn't scale as workshop attendance grows. This is a privacy/consent issue as much as an editing one.
