Support for Virtual Camera (like OBS) with screen recording
under consideration

Being able to use a virtual camera a la OBS would allow for significantly more control of the video while doing screen recording. Currently there's no way to manipulate the video at all, such as rotating for a vertically oriented camera, color correction, brightness/contrast adjustments, etc.

[Windows] It would be amazing to use Descript Screen Recorder to capture my screen, with Camera enabled, recording my virtual webcam feed as the Camera.
A Virtual camera is effectively any video feed that is available to apps on Windows as a webcam. Software such as ManyCam, OBS, and many others can process a webcam (or other cameras) video feed, overlay information on top of the feed, and make it available to Windows as a “virtual webcam”. Other software, such as Zoom and hopefully Descript, can then use the virtual webcam feed as a standard webcam.

This is a pretty basic requirment for any recording tool in 2020 let alone 2024!

2023 and this is still an issue.

Please add virtual camera support. mmhmm for example enables greenscreen backgrounds.
otherwise create that functionality in Descript

This is actually super important for people like me who use virtual background. nvidia has some software (nvidia broadcast) that replaces background in real time but does it through virtual camera. All apps can use it (Zoom, Teams), but not descript :-(.
This forces a very tedious workflow for me - Record the screen & camera in OBS, and then edit the video in descript.

Yes, this is very frustrating. OBS Virtual Camera works is most other programs, but for some reason Descript just ignores it completely.
