Project Actions & Presets

If I am editing 15 podcast episodes and I do the exact same actions (Speaker 1 is always X, 2 is Y, remove speaker 3 who just yells "rolling!" and "cut!", cut filler words, multicam to make it always show this speaker when they're talking, etc.), I should just be able to "record" that series of actions (like in Photoshop) that I could then "play" when I open a new video file.

Skills and Shortcuts

I would like Descript to have the ability to save actions either as skills or as shortcuts. For example, when performing repetitive tasks like cutting silent gaps, reducing filler words, and optimizing for clarity, I could press a single button instead of three separate ones to execute all actions at once. We can implement this either by using built-in shortcuts or by creating custom ones to automate this process.

One-Click Editing Pipeline
Noemi Bolojan
For most videos I edit, I (and likely most editors) follow the same SOP with the same steps: apply Studio Sound, Edit for Clarity, shorten word gaps, remove filler words, apply specific sound effects (compressor, limiter, EQ), and layouts.
Similar to how layouts allow specific effects to be applied with one click, could you create a feature where this entire editing pipeline can be applied in a single click?
If it’s not a perfect fit, adjustments can always be made manually afterward. However, this step alone would significantly improve implementation speed and efficiency.
