Option to use Protools key-controls

One of the biggest learning curves for me is learning to use the TAB key to playback and command +/- to zoom in-out. Could there be a way to import key commands from another DAW like ProTools to control basic shuttle and zoom functions?

I wholeheartedly agree. The developers are quite reticent to implement this, even as a user-configurable option.

A workaround I have found is to use a USB transport control (jog/shuttle controller, I use the ShuttleXpress) and map the function buttons on an app-by-app basis so that you achieve consistent behavior across editing tools.

Hear, Hear The tab start is a tremendous PITA, and then if you hit the space bar you delete any text you have highlighted! Couldn't it be that if you hit the space bar when your cursor is in the waveform area, that it doesn't do that?
