When editing in Descript, the video preview and timeline share the same screen space, which makes it hard to focus on detailed timeline edits while still checking playback.

I often find myself repeatedly resizing or switching views just to see how changes reflect in the preview.

It would be really helpful to have the option to isolate or detach the video preview into a fixed side panel (similar to CapCut’s layout), so the timeline can stay maximized while the preview remains visible at all times. This would make editing faster and more comfortable, especially for fine-tuning cuts and timing.
