Multicam: Created on 1 video

Live Camera/Custom Scene switching while recording in Descript like you can do with Ecamm Live and then also use those custom scenes in a zoom call. I have vmix but not really user friendly and you need a beast computer to run, Ecamm requires Mac but love it's user friendly ability, so if Descript can create an Ecamm Live studio recording section in the software that's cloud based and can be used with any type of Laptop would be Fantastic! Then those live switching custom scene recordings can just drop down in the editor for any final edits and send out to our social media sites. One tool does it all!

I would love the idea. I am not sure if its the same meaning, but I create a video of myself with two angles, but its the same audio. So I want to have a random switch of me talking. Does this makes sense?

Michael StreitYes I am the same! It seems Descript right now does not support one speaker, two angles, automatic multicam. Automatic multicam is only for multiple speakers.

FYI, Center Active Speaker is available in the app today, though it's still in BETA so some issues are still present. https://help.descript.com/hc/en-us/articles/27137505139853-Look-Good-Actions

Autofocus for Multiwindow Zoom meetings (One audio and one video file)

My client would make me edit videos of their Zoom meeting for a podcast but the problem is I have to automatically focus their faces every time someone speaks (and sometimes listening too) and i would need to crop the video to their own Zoom window. The faster thing I did was make a template of each of their faces from the Zoom meeting window and just pick that template whenever they speak (which also would be easier if there is an option to automatically separate scenes between speakers). I wish there was a way to assign a template for each speaker and then we can automatically focus from there. I know this can be easily done if they were using SquadCast but these days, they only use Zoom meetings with both their faces in the window so it's like I have to manually zoom them in whenever they speak.

For videos shot in a studio with one camera - automatically focus the frame on a speaker would save a lot of time instead of cropping each scene manually or copying the layout for each scene.
Like a mixture of close up and wide shots, not just hovering over the person talking the whole time.
