More accurate transcription

This is a big one. I used Otter for a while and their transcription was pretty on point, and it was easier to fix and edit it when it was wrong. Descript is regularly VERY wrong and as a result I have to manually go through the whole 2 hour recording to spot check all the transcription, I can’t trust it to be “good enough”. And when it is wrong it doesn’t even make grammatical sense, so I would think a simple grammar checker (like a grammerly add on extension) would help a lot.

We just shipped a big update to our transcription engine which should make transcripts 20-50% more accurate depending on the recording.

This is still a problem for me. A massive, huge, colossal problem. To the point that I don't understand how anyone uses this program for transcribing.

I hate. Hate. Hate. How Descript. Puts periods. After every 3 words I say. For no reason. And then I get to go back. And erase. Them again. Which is a. PITA. EITHER let me dictate punctuation and paragraphs a la Google Drive OR get better. This is a dealbreaker for me.

I think a grammar checker would improve it a lot too, and I'm fairly certain it doesn't already have one from the utterly bizarre punctuation and paragraph choices it makes that only make sense if it's basing commas, periods, and paragraphs entirely on how long the speaker pauses.
