Keep Formatting When Applying "Active Speaker" Multi-Cam Function

When I choose "Active Speaker" for the multi-cam function, I lose the media's x/y placement for each scene. It would be extremely helpful if the newly created scenes kept the formatting of the first.

i am using a zoom gallery side-by-side recording in the project. i have added a copy to the sequence, and cropped each so that one video is me on the left, the other is my guest on the right.
i then tried to apply your gallery 2 person side by side layout which worked, except that it lots the cropping settings.
your bot tells me that's how it works. is this really the case?
and does this mean that each time i changed the layout for visual interest, i would have to recrop and potentially resize/reposition in each scene?
the only workaround i can think of is to export the cropped videos and then import them into the sequence.
