iPads are increasingly popular as primary/travel computers. Would be very helpful if I could work on Descript projects on an iPad!

would be nice if I can edit the timeline on my iphone

I’m basically iPad only at this point. I’d consider re-subscribing if there were a native iPad app!

I'd also love to see this feature so I can travel light and edit with iPad

I agree! A couple of years go, we used
to edit a 3 hour video, and it was so convenient to be able to watch the video on my iPad Pro with keyboard and annotate the transcript with comments and directions to the a video editors.
My role in these projects is most akin to the interview and director, with other people on the team responsible for doing the actual editing and producing the final podcast audio files.
In my ideal, here would be my workflow. My editor creates the project with all the audio uploaded. I would listen to all the recorded audio on my iPad Pro, taking notes and leave myself instructions on potential sequencing — for the latest interview I did, I found myself making comments like this:
re-record — I mangled my line
This entire portion should be moved to the beginning of his response, because it lands the point, and the rest would work well as supporting arguments
add a break-in, explaining what he just referred to
After doing this on my iPad Pro, I would then go to my MacBook Pro, and review the comments, and likely start making the gross edits myself, recording new sections, etc.
When I'm done, I'd signal my editor, who would then do all the things that only a professional audio person can do, which I am not.
What I'd like to be able to do:
play audio from iPadOS Safari or Chrome or Edge
have Tab start/pause the audio
What actually happens when I try on Safari or Edge:
pressing Play icon does not start audio on iPad, nor does hitting Tab key
selecting text doesn't work
arrow keys don't work
Please let me know if I can provide any more information — and keep up all the great work!

@gene-kim-1: Just amending my previous feature request with some more usage context.
I find myself doing 90m editing sessions, and then taking a break, but wanting to still review what I just did. I find myself continually exporting an MP3 file, so I can listen to edited portions of my projects on my iPhone via Dropbox.
To me, this clearly shows that listening to my projects in-work is important. Maybe editing isn't so important, as I wrote earlier, but being able to listen to it would be very helpful.
Happy to share more about usage contexts, my workflow, anytime!
Keep up the great work.

: Yes! Being able to log an interview on an iPad (highlight best clips, add those to a new composition) is most of what I'd want to do with it. But having the ability to edit and export would be great as a just-in-case thing, so I could chose
to bring a laptop with me on a trip.
As for iPhone, I think that's a great idea too — not a place to edit, but a place to review/listen/comment.

iPad support is crucial. please!

The other day I saw a blog post called something like “How I produce my podcast” and it was a terrible convoluted process. I thought, “Oh you poor thing, you don’t know about Descript yet.” And then I realized the article was actually “How I produce my podcast on my iPad.” And I thought, yeah, okay, I guess you gotta do what you gotta do. So I’m upvoting this request on behalf of that blogger.
