I think it'd be nice if we can get Descript onto mobile so that we have more features for playback and editing on the go or a system where we an add comments to a video file so edits can be implemented later

It seems that iOS/iPad WebKit has issues with USB based microphones. At least this is the answer I got from Rode and was able to validate myself with some simple checks.
If not a full blow iPadOS app as wished in the https://feedback.descript.com/feature-requests/p/ipados-app - may be you could at least create a simple recording app based on your skills from Squadcast?
The problem is really the WebKit interface, so the app must be kind of native for the recording and the connection to the USB-C based microphone.

We love using a teleprompter to make our videos. We currently have to use one software (BigVu) to record our videos with their teleprompter app, download the video, then upload to Descript.
Would be great to have an app, similar to Riverside, where we can record directly to Descript.

Was super excited to use Descript, paid for it and everything and then I found out it didn't work on an iPad.. very bummed about it.
Please make it IOS friendly 🙏 I know many people would be extremely grateful for it
