This is huge. We're starting to look into alternates to Descript because of this.

Would love to see the option to choose to export timelines at either 48k or 44.1k

Setting Sample Rate for Composition

Can we have the ability to set the sample rate for our compositions? I would love to have the ability to create a composition with a sample rate of 48hz or 44.1K.

Yes, please!
If you could make it so that when EXPORTING a TIMELINE into Adobe AUDITION FORMAT, we could have the option of choosing a sample rate of 44100 or 48000, just like we do when exporting audio. So, if we chose 44100, Descript would convert any 48000 samples to 44100.
Right now, that inability creates all sorts of headaches for me! I know during export, Descript reverts to the highest sample rate of any file in the composition. I do my best to make sure all files are in 44100 before they’re imported to descript, but as we’re importing bits of archival footage and news clips from various sources into one of our podcasts, inevitably some little thing at 48000 creeps in.
Our radio station standard is 44100. So what ends up happening, in the current workflow, is files get converted from 44100 to 48000 and then back to 44100 again, sometimes a couple times. This must compromise audio quality, in the way that a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy is slightly worse than the original.
It would also be an easy fix for the Descript team.
As Descript focuses so much on video, I know these little audio asks can feel small, but it’s big for me!
