Direct export from Squadcast to a new composition in existing project

I often have the interview first and export from Squadcast to Descript first-- get the editing underway. And, then later, my partner records the intro in Squadcast. Love the direct SC/Descript integration now-- but, you should be able to export from SC to an existing Project as a composition to keep things tidy.

Hi there,
I love that I can transfer files directly from Squadcast into Descript, and it would be great if I could choose which project I want the files exported into. At the moment, I am exporting them into Descript, then I have to copy the script from the new created project and them paste it into the existing project that is a part of.
In my use, I'm creating different sessions for a course and each session is recorded separately. So, I already have a project for this course in Descript and it would be great if I was given an option so that the new files were imported directly into that project from Squadcast.
Thanks as always for all your help to improving an already great platform.
Lots of Love, Daniel 🙂❤

Choose which Descript project to import into

When clicking "Edit in Descript" currently, the only option is to create a new project. But sometimes you need to record additional audio for your project.. when you do so, your only option is to export it directly to a brand new Descript project OR manually download the files to your desktop and upload them to the correct Descript project. It would be great if Squadcast allowed you to create a new Descript project OR choose which existing Descript project to push the files to.

Import audio project from Squadcast

When I record audio only in Squadcast, I would like "export to Descript" to create an audio project in Descript instead of a video project. As it is, I have to download the files from Squadcast and create the project manually.

Issue with uploading my latest project from SquadCast
The Mirror Project
With my last import into discript from squadcast I have run into the issue of the audio files not importing correctly. Typically the files layer so that the recorded audio plays back as when we recorded it initially. Sorry I don't remember the technical term for this. However, when I imported this latest project it placed the audio files one after the other creating a four hour long project rather than and hour project (there are four audio recordings from this squadcast session). At first I thought I made an upload error and deleted the first project I created not realizing that before the upload was complete it would deduct that time from our allotted transcription hours. We were at a descript creator account level which meant we had 10 hours of transcription. I then tried again and encountered the same issue and realized that my transcription time was effected and I only had an 1 and 40 mins left of transcription for the month (my monthly subscription just renewed on April 27). I then decided to update my account to pro which would give me 30 hours and I decided to scrap my second attempt at this project and try for a third time. I redownloaded the audio files from SquadCast and imported them into descript and the issue happened again. So, I am now out even more transcription hours and I haven't even worked on my project yet. I would appreciate some assistance is solving this issue and would like the hours credited back to my account. Please contact me as soon as possible as I have deadline of Thursday, May 2nd. Thank you
