Dvorak typist. Need to be able to remap QWR to ',. or better yet ,.p, the equiv of wer which is even less finger movement.

I'm using Shift-Cmd-O a lot to delete podcast crosstalk. Then I have to hit Cmd-[ to go back. This is over complicated. I'd love to have ONE Cmd-Key that toggles between the two modes...

Steve Ewing: How you found a workaround? I'm thinking of TextExpander set to Descript only. Will try.

I've been able to rework cmd+k and use type text with Keyboard Maestro. It's pretty good, but the script text tends to like to jump around after I use these key sequences. It like to move to the top or to the bottom. Very odd behavior. Scripting, Shortcuts, and 3rd party tools should be considered. Tools like Keyboard Maestro work well on OSx if the client's respect the operating system rules. As for the PC platform... I'm not sure... I like how DaVinci Resolve shows a keyboard shortcut cue card and lets you pick hotkeys that make sense. I also like Key Cue on the mac. It gives a shortcut list as shown here:

I like the thought of the keyboard shortcuts being all in a row that the left hand can rest on easily, but I use the DVORAK keyboard layout, so my Q is on the X key and the W is on the comma key, so I'm all the time jumping around the keyboard.
Not to mention delete should be a hot key too :)

Dustin Hartzler: I also use the DVORAK keyboard. Have you found a solution? Another post says that Keyboard Maestro is erratic. I'm thinking maybe Textexpander?

George Silverman: Nope. And now that I'm using the beta storyboard option, all the keyboard shortcuts that I've used and grown accustomed to have changed, aarrgh!

moving clips up and down is very exhausting without a hot key :(
