Copy "similar scenes" like on riverside OR save created scenes to an easily accessible palce in the project with ability to assign them to keyboard shortcuts. This would avoid scrolling back and forth (or switching to storyboard) to copy scenes. I find that copying layouts from my custom layout packs do not work like they used to roughly a year ago. the formatting is often messed up.
