I would love color controls as well as simple filters such as within Photos app on phone. Choose filter, adjust strength with a slider. Thank you for considering!

This is a must. It's critical to be able to adjust colour, so it currently requires encoding the video an extra time after making adjustments in FCP. Would LOVE colour wheels, since it's usually not enough to correct just temperature and tint. Usually the white balance needs to be corrected for the shadows / mids / highlights individually

Yes please - this would save me from having to import into Final Cut or Davinci Resolve. I would love to just use 1 app - I do not need fancy colour grading. Just simple filters would be great.

Yes, please. Just keep it simple, too, like adding an audio effect in Descript is now.

Nope concentrate of better transcription! Resolve is free and contains an incredibly powerful colour editor. Don't become bogged down in becoming a fantastic video editor.

I've noticed that when I add an HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) video recorded on my iPhone 12 Pro that the color is incredibly white.

What apps do this well? What apps don't do it well?

Andrew Mason: Davinci Resolve does it well of course being a huge pro video editing suite. Simpler apps that stick to only Brightness/Contrast/Hue can be frustrating (though any adjustment is better than none), because White Balance is a super important common adjustment.
Going further, having the ability to adjust the brightness of Shadows and Highlights, and even the tint of those would add much more control. Supporting LUTs is a great way to give advanced users more possibilities.

Andrew Mason: Apple's photos app does a great job making adjustments to color on videos.

Ability to add LUT's (percentages), if this happens, I won't use any other linear editing apps.
