Why does my saved layout for 4 multicam angles, not follow the active speaker?

Underlord automatic multicam -> adjust/select templates

It would be good if I could use the "automatic multicam" function of Underlord to for just a specific set of templates (lets say not ALL 7 templates within the layout pack "Multicam w/ Borders", but just let him use three of these.
Also, It would be good to create my own templates for such a layout pack.

Hi Jay, Jeff, and everyone who upvoted this:
Automatic multicam with Templates + Layouts was launched today with v99.
Thanks so much for filing this request and please let us know how the update is working out for you on Discord or via the support team.

Gabe Michalski, based on my understanding of Jay Tomlinson's OP, the feature that was requested is not the feature that was shipped.
And it's definitely not what Jeff Steadman discussed.
AMC does allow you to use a specific layout pack, even a custom user created one, but it doesn't allow you to force AMC to use one specific layout from that layout pack for a specific speaker, or better yet, set of speakers.

I agree with Hans Nelson here. The AMC that was shipped can do a decent job of choosing layouts as long as the camera setups are done correctly, but there’s no option to force it to use user-chosen layouts.
I had major confusion getting AMC to work with my custom layouts because I wanted to use layouts that display multiple speakers even when only one person is speaking. AMC can’t handle that with the way things are currently setup behind the scenes and there’s no way for the user to override what would be AMC’s natural choice of layout with a layout choice the user prefers.

I agree with Hans Nelson. The current features are fine, but I want more/easier/faster options:
- Select the number of speakers/cameras/audio tracks for a multicam output.
- Assign speaker to camera & audio tracks. Bonus points for auto aligning them correctly in the sequence if they have different recording lengths. Extra bonus points for being able to nudge video and audio to fix sync issues if needed.
- Assign a default scene to each speaker.
- Select the max number of speakers (or wide angle(s)) to show on screen.
- Assign a default scene based on number of speakers shown on screen (1-2-3-4-etc.).
- Preview each scene selection via simple storyboard type layout.
- Click magic "do the thing" button.
- Result: A multicam output with scenes applied correctly based on user selections in previous steps.

This is sorely needed. Here is what I would like to see:
- Analyze the composition and sort the scenes based on speaker name and number of speakers.
- Select a template to apply to each type of scene.
- Press the magic button to do the thing.
- Output is an automatic multicam composition with the correct scene templates applied based on the speaker and number of speakers in a given scene.
