mouth noises, coughs, breaths, clicks, throat clears, etc - studio sound does not help me with these. I have been using descript for years and there is no way for studio sound to eliminate these noises without degrading the rest of the good audio.
The solution seems so easy and I'm continuously surprised it is not solved, so I'm adding the request along with the solution now. all these non-verbal noises are obviously not transcribed, but the greyed out sound waves still show on the timeline. that's the fix.
automate what i do manually each time which is simply finding the grey sound waves that don't correspond to a matching word on the timeline - and then mute or cut them. Stretching the timeline vertically helps make them more visible.
you can see in the attached image, several samples of this in practice. the audio is transcribed. the soundwaves on the timeline correspond to words in the transcript. when a soundwave exists, but a word does not, 9 times out of 10 - mute it. 9 times out of 10, it's a cough, or breath or tongue click.

100% this. Also, this could be as simple as implementing some sort of smart noise gate.

+1. Also in a sequence, it'd be nice to be able to always mute the non-speaking track (some mics have noise). And to be able to solo or mute single clips within the sequence, rather than the entire track for the entire sequence (or is there a way I haven't found?). Manually deleting every non-speaking section is tiresome. Also, am I crazy or are the solo/mute buttons impossible to distinguish between on and off? They're also the only ones that don't tell you what they are when you hover. I can't see a thing.

This would be especially helpful for multi-track sequences. One of my speakers has a very noisy background, so I'm manually deleting those parts of that track.
