auto leveling by speaker
Leonard Nieman
The new auto-leveling feature is great, but my issue is that it is by clip and not by speaker. Maybe make an option/button to cut all Speaker segments into separate clips and another to re-auto-level all cips? Otherwise, right now, I need to manually go through and segment out each speaker into a clip and then re-level it.

Squadcast: Gain control at file level - for multiple vid/audio tracks

Currently all videos are bundled together - if one speaker's levels are different they have to be adjusted cut by cut - would be good to have file level control over this.

I have a podcast with myself and a co-host. We use Audacity to record and when we export the recording, it downloads as one track. The auto-leveling not only didn't work, but I had to go through and manually adjust my co-hosts volume every time she spoke. This took houuuuuuurs and was a really crappy process. There should be a function where if someone comes in lower than the other, the entire composition levels to the louder person.

Auto levelling is a huge wish list item for me, by speaker absolutely. In a recent radio interview show I had 7 guests, all with differing vocal characteristics and none skilled in mic management. Level variation for any one speaker was hard to deal with.
I would like to have something like Levelator or Voice Level (Audacity plugins) per speaker, as well as an overall volume control per speaker. I do a lot of clip dividing and manual tiny tweaks to clip levels.

I'm needing this also. Just select a speaker name and Autolevel his audio only. When doing remote podcasts with invitees not equipped this could easily become a nightmare. This would be a great time saver for casual podcast editors that don't want to edit their files back on DAM software.

I'd be happy if all we got was the ability to split by speaker label!
