Descript does not always capture sections of text when using Replace Transcript. If the blank section is a word or two, that is easily fixable with the Correct function. If it's a paragraph, then you encounter the 100 character limit on the Correct function, making it difficult to accurately apply the missing text.

Allowing users to add words directly from a highlighted section of the waveform would alleviate this problem, as it's very easy to see the individual words in the waveform. The user would be able to highlight a few words at a time and apply the text.

Alternatively, consider upping the character limit to something larger on the Correct function. A 250 character limit would cover a paragraph of three or four sentences and would probably do the trick.
