Or at least some instructions if there's any workarounds. For example, if a project and its media files, can you use disk recovery tools like Cleverbridge's DiskDrill to find deleted files in Application Support/Library/Descript...

It would be helpful to be able to create a full backup of your projects in one click. That could involve exporting all compositions as audio or video files, exporting the associated transcripts, and automatically removing the download from local storage.

How is this not a part of your great product. One mistake sometime leads to another issue and then another. I've started one project 3 times AFTER I just "tweaked" it just a little here and there.
Common get with the program. WE NEED UN-DELETE!

How about having a feature to download the deleted project to be saved for later restoration if needed?

Please consider adding the "retrieve deleted items" or something like that sort or allowing the download of the exact recording locally.
I accidentally deleted all my recordings in a project and lost about 10+ hours of work during crunch time. End up staying up late and recreating everything. Super unhappy about it.
One thing worth mentioning is that I was prompted to the new UI, which deleting files is far too easy than in the classic mode...now I'm terrified even to delete anything. It's a double-edged sword because I need to clean up my files as I have limited monthly hours.

This would be AMAZING! I thought I was deleting a duplicate file ... turns out I was NOT, and lost a week of work. An archive would be amazing!

Johnnie: I, too, lost 10+ hours of work during crunch time.

Johnnie: Yeah same here. I had a few projects with a similar name and somehow must have mistakenly deleting the wrong project. Since these files are stored locally, maybe some instructions on using DiskDrill... Unforuantely for me, my time machine backup hadn't run yet. If I did have that weeks backup, I THINK I could at least get the media files.

As with any robust editing system, video or otherwise, it's essential to be able to archive a project. And with the very clunky way that Descript handles source media, it makes this doubly vital. For example, because I cannot archive a project that I no long need in my Descript ecosystem) but may someday come back to), the only other option would be to manually move the project files and source media into my own archive system. With Descript, you can't do either, which leads to file bloat, hard drive issues, etc. A simple "Export/Archive Full Project" feature would solve this.

So important and super-surprising that this doesn't exist. Far too easy to destroy countless hours of work for all eternity!

Jason: can't agree with you more!
