As a user creating videos, some are 3 hour tutorials that don't need transcription, I often upload files to Descript for quick exports without needing transcription. Currently, even if I cancel the upload immediately (before 1% progress), the full file length gets deducted from my monthly transcription hours (199mins charged when the file was only uploaded 1%), which feels unfair and wasteful—especially when no actual transcription occurs.
