At the moment, when a Rooms recording session ends, the recorded files are automatically processed and placed back into the project without giving the user the option to leave them untouched.
It would be very helpful to have a setting within the Rooms settings tab that allows users to disable this automatic post-session processing and simply return the recorded files to the project as captured.
This would give users more control over what happens after a Rooms session ends, rather than having Rooms automatically process the files straight away.
For some workflows, users may want to:
  • review the raw files first
  • keep the recordings untouched at this stage
  • decide later whether to apply any processing or editing within Descript
This would also be helpful for users coming from SquadCast, who were used to a more straightforward capture-first workflow where recordings could be reviewed before any further processing decisions were made.
A dedicated Rooms setting for this would make the workflow much more flexible for users who want the files returned to the project without any automatic post-session handling.
