YouTube supports 4K UHD uploads, but Descript's YouTube export preset appears to be limited to 1080p HD.

Please consider allowing 4K direct uploads when publishing to YouTube as the export preset.

YouTube publishing allows for 4K when a file is published via web link in 4K.

+1 here, it is not just about resolution either. When uploading videos with more than 1080p quality, Youtube uses a better compression algorithm that preserves video quality better. Publishing in 1080p gives really bad results compared to manually exporting and uploading. Please fix this

+1, this would be great — I love how much faster the YouTube export flow is, but not having the option to go with 4k means I'm having to do the full export → upload → wait a year for processing flow.

I'm also in need of this. I produce live streams in 1440p and I can't use this feature because the exports downsize my videos to 1080p. High-resolution publishing to YouTube would simplify a lot my workflow.
