In this release we've got a new feature that enables you to write your script as you're producing the other parts of your video, or podcast. It's a workflow that wasn't possible before, and now it's as easy as replacing one version of a script track with another.
Replace script track
Now you can swap out your script track (ie, your voiceover) and Descript will automatically align the new version with all your music, visuals, and effects. So you can replace a scratch version of your voiceover script (i.e., a rough recording) with a finalized recording; or just write your script in a Composition and use Overdub for placeholder VO. Either way, when you use Replace script track to paste in a new version, Descript will keep all of your visuals, music and effects lined up right where you had them in the original script track.
Here's how it works. Start by typing text, or transcribing a file. Then add your b-roll, media, titles, images, captions, music, or any other clips to your composition. Finally, when you record a new voiceover (audio or video) track in another composition, just copy and paste it into your main composition: Highlight the text you want to replace, right click > Paste special > Replace script track.
Descript automatically keeps all the pinned tracks, clips and other things in your original composition aligned with the new track, allowing you to work on the script and the rest of your composition in parallel.

Removal of Pages tab:
With this update we've removed the "Pages" tab in the Drive View. Previous updates have created a 1:1 relationship between published Pages and their associated Compositions, so you can now access your Published page content (including the associated URL) by opening it's source project and clicking on the Publish
button in the Composition. In the event that a published Page's source project was deleted before this update rolled out, you may contact Customer Support who can assist with providing you a list of your published pages.
