Default settings for fancy captions

It would be cool to create a template for things like Fancy captions so I don't need to adjust them every single time in terms of size, font type, border, live text, etc. Or section headings, the same thing. I spend a lot of time doing the same things over and over on a different part of the script.

Just wanted to update you all that captions now remember your last-used settings! You can also utilize templates to save as many different styles + layouts as you would like: https://help.descript.com/hc/en-us/articles/10255950033805-Templates-overview

Make use of caption setup default to future uses

Before Descript changed the way captions were entered, the system always remembered the previous setup I used. Now, every time I want to add a caption I have to reselect the font, display, and size. It's tedious and annoying when it did not used to be that way. Please fix this.

I'd take this one step farther and suggest the ability to save brands or campaigns - a set of colors, styles, fonts, etc that the user adds once and then can quickly apply to an asset or a whole composition.

Hey! I found a way around to make this happen!
- go to the video that has the captions styled in the way you want it
2.click on the 'captions' in the timeline and then copy
- go to your new composition
- press ctrl+V (cmd + V) and viola!
all the styles you want are copy/pasted and ready to use :)

Content Storm: LOL, I JUST realized I could do this two days ago by always keeping a window with the right captions opened! Thanks so much for your reply :)

OMG yes! I have to do this for EVERY REEL I make (which can be hundreds), constantly adding > Karoke, Fill White, Background Color b0019a. Can you tell I do this a lot ? LOL. Would love this!
