Descript + DAW = Pro Tools Killer!

Please please please please please, consider purchasing a DAW like Mixcraft. Even if you haven't yet figured out how to get this thing to sing, plenty of audio work is done in multitrack format. But, once you do get this thing to sing, this will hit the market as hard as Auto Tune. Either that or, just make a VST plugin so that this can work in multiple DAWs. Perhaps, team up with a company like isotope.

If you made this a plug-in for Logic Pro or Ableton it would be amazing. Musicians could use studio sound to get clean vocal takes without a studio. Also, the lyrebird as a vocaloid could be wild. Imagine being able to use a popular singers a Capella tracks to train an algorithm to sing in their style/tone but with your words.

Yes, SS is a massive timesaver for long form web audio projects that are coming from less-than-professional recording scenarios! It's frustrating to have to upload all the files, create compositions, wait for transcriptions, apply, adjust level, etc. It would be so much more useful if it could be available as a batch process on a group of files without having to first create compositions, transcribe, and adjust parameters on every composition individually. I will say, being able to batch export with the Pro plan has been nice.

Try to set ANY amount of Studio Sound filter filter below 100% – it causes a massive echo on the whole file – UNUSABLE!
Descript knows this since many weeks but … crickets!
This was the one feature we jumped onto Descript.
WHAT A DRAG – try it for yourself and
report that bug so they finally fix it.

My team edits podcasts daily and would use Studio Sound on almost every one if data could be kept local and not go to the cloud. Added convenience would be great, too. We would definitely pay for this.

Came here to say this. As a professional editor, Studio Sound is an amazing tool to have. I truly use it on every podcast. However, it's a pain to have to import my project into Descript each time just to run SS though it. I edit primarily outside Descript for most of my shows, so having Studio Sound as a standalone plug-in would be AMAZING and something I would definitely purchase

Agreed. It would be great to be able to have this processing available directly in Pro Tools (or other DAWs) as a plug-in.
