It would be helpful to have Descript automatically remove downloads if a file has not been opened in several weeks or months. This would help with large collections of large files.

I currently subscribe to Adobe Stock and Storyblocks. I'm used to viewing stock video in full screen. Presently in the beta, I can only see a very small image of the available stock assets. It means that I have to download/apply to see if the asset works. Might it be possible to make the viewer window larger or resizable?

Need better filtering options for stock media. For example, images and videos should be filterable by landscape vs portrait. Audio REALLY NEEDS a duration filter. The amount of time I spent sifting through audio clips looking for intro music that's less than 15 seconds is crazy.

I appreciate the features your software offers, but the mandatory cloud syncing isn't good. For users with slower internet connections, the reliance on constant cloud syncing makes it challenging to work efficiently. It would be better to have the option to turn off cloud syncing, especially when working with large video files. Syncing hours of footage is impractical and is an unnecessary waste of my computers resources, and for many projects, there is no need to upload everything to the cloud. Could you please consider implementing a feature that allows users to choose whether to sync their projects? This way, we can work offline like with a traditional editor and decide when and what to upload. This flexibility would significantly improve the user experience. Additionally, projects duplicate video files to a separate location, consuming unnecessary storage. It would be more efficient to read the files from their original location without creating additional copies or to at least ask where to save files when creating a new project as with traditional editors. Whilst it’s great that you’ve strived for individuality, if something ain't broke, don’t fix it. Features found in traditional editors have proven to work effectively for a long time. It’s not always necessary to create new workflows, especially when they complicate rather than improve the user experience.

As part of a whole company that uses Descript, it would be a HUGE timesaver to drag and drop projects between folders. Currently I have to select projects individually and click through folders and sub-folders to move each project. This is ESPECIALLY important since I am converting classic files to Storyboard and for some reason they are automatically sent to my "Private Workspace"...instead of the folder I copied the project from.

When I use Descript stock video, I like to use several shots of the same actor or scene to keep my voice over fresh and engaging. Currently, when I search for a video, I get a myriad of videos back, all with different actors and in different scenes. I'd LOVE to, after selecting a video, to see ALL other videos that include that actor, or that are from the same collection Something like how is done on https://filmpac.com/ or https://stock.adobe.com/ for example

Based on the content in the transcription, use AI to understand what is being said and add a feature to Auto-Add in graphics, sfx, gifs, stock video, etc for the entire video

When this error pops up randomly, I have no idea what it means for my project, or even which assets are the ones causing issues. When this error has popped up in the past, it meant that my videos exported in 1080p instead of 4K and the only way to fix that was by completely re-doing the project, which made me cry and I needed to pat my emotional support guinea pigs. This can be fixed very easily by simply having a little "ERROR LOG" window like Premiere/AE that can be opened separately to view which files ran into trouble. This is also very useful for other testing/debugging too. I just want to know what the exact media file is that's causing the problem - I can probably fix it myself then! Thank you Descript team, it is a great product.

When naming files in Descript, have these file names carry over during timeline exports into the affiliated DAW for ease of organization and tracking.

we can search the transcript, that's great but for other parts of the video where there is no script, i want to be able to search it easily for example, show me all the places where i used "battery.png", or "music-113.mp3" or " transition.mov " then we can easily navigate the file without scrolling and manually looking
