Zoom toggles for Timeline

There's a zoom feature in Pro Tools where you press 1-4 on the number row to toggle between four different zoom presets. This would be helpful in Descript for quick zooming to fine tune an edit. Likely the best target for the zoom is wherever the cursor is located on the timeline vs. where the playhead is located.

Wondering if perhaps the software could just keep the zoom level that is set on the project when the project is edited?
I work with videos mostly and I need to size the video to fit vertical and horizontal screens while keeping the text at a nice size. I can use the
ctrl+shift+=
hotkey to get the sizing right, but when I close the project, the setting is lost.Might also be nice to have a little preferences option saying "keep my last saved project zoom level as default". That way, if a new project is opened, it will take on the properties of the last one you saved. For an existing project, it will open with the settings that are part of the project.
Of course I like the toggle idea above as well, but I also want the system to just be aware of the last zoom used for two purposes
1) each project
2) new projects continue with last saved project zoom level
Panning Videos while zoomed
Small thing on the video zoom: it would be nice if we could use the right-mouse button to pan the video without editing the video. So if the video is zoomed in deep and cropped on the sides it would be possible to just move it to the side without changing the video location on the canvas and while we are listening to part of the video.
