Please save my eyes! 😵
definitely want to +1 dark mode.
sure, the system accessibility invert tools are decent for windows (and really great on mac), but I use this hand in hand with audio and video editing software where colors are not just dark-mode style but are critical blacks and 50% grays for color and decision making. Switching all of the time still is distracting, and does, not to complain too much, hurt my eyes.
i guess maybe some people still think looking at black text on a white screen "feels like looking at paper," but how many people who spend epic amounts of time doing critical work on a computer think that this is a safe or comfortable experience? maybe those new to computers (which is exactly who....?) ;)
You can flip Windows colours, which makes Descript work nicely in dark mode.
Settings > Colour Filters > Invert Colours
Or you can use Magnifier (also in Windows settings)
Enable [Windows key +]
Disable [Windows key Esc]
Set it at 100% and set Invert Colours there and use Ctrl Alt I as a toggle for the dark.lit mode. It will affect all your icons and background, so you might have to set an inverse background colour.
This is a super simple feature to code into the software. Why is it not done yet?! You guys keep bloating the app with all this unnecessary stuff but keep skipping the simple basics.
Seconded! I've got everything else in Dark Mode, my eyeballs are burning!
A huge 1+ to this 😃
Dark mode is very much needed. My video editing software is completely dark (most editors are). When I'm switching quickly back and forth between Descript, this is very irritating to the eyes! Again, much needed!
Yes!!! And if you could add text re-sizing, also very welcome!
